todayelizabeth was born from a lifelong love of fashion, creativity, and the belief that clothing should be as unique as the person wearing it.
My passion for clothing began long before the sustainable movement, born from a lifetime of thrifting, altering, and reimagining garments. I began my college experience as a Fashion Merchandising major, drawn to the artistry, individuality, and storytelling that clothing can represent. Although my career path eventually led me into education, my love for fashion never disappeared.
Throughout my 30-year teaching career, I embraced sustainable fashion in my own way. I built my wardrobe through carefully selected secondhand finds, vintage treasures, and pieces that reflected my personal style rather than passing trends. My students and colleagues often asked where I found my clothing, surprised to learn that many of my favorite pieces were thrifted or vintage discoveries.
After retiring from teaching, I returned to my original creative passion and created todayelizabeth. What began as a love for finding beautiful vintage pieces evolved into a boutique collection of thoughtfully curated clothing and one-of-a-kind upcycled designs.
Each piece is carefully selected, reimagined, or created with intention. Vintage garments are given new appreciation, forgotten textiles are transformed, and every design is crafted to celebrate individuality, sustainability, and the beauty of something made differently.
